Beyond Protocol Secures $12.5M Investment Commitment and Lays Out Plans for Mainnet
We are pleased to announce we have secured a $12.5 million investment commitment from GEM Digital to launch our technology publicly and to support the development of the Beyond Protocol ecosystem.
With the imminent public launch of our network, we are transitioning from proof-of-concept stage to growth-stage. Proceeds from GEM’s commitment will be used to support Beyond Protocol’s mission to develop the dead simple platform for IoT smart contracts.
The Four Stages of Mainnet
Over the past year, we have developed a variety of use cases on top of our test network addressing authentic, burning problems of noteworthy partners to drive awareness to the once-in-a-technology-cycle power of IoT and blockchain. We are excited now to turn the keys over to developers across the world to begin to tinker, hack, and explore.
Beyond Protocol’s Mainnet will be broken into four technical stages, which can be found here. Throughout the course of the stages, we will be working strategically to drive awareness to our technology — our plans include new tier-1 exchange listings and the launch of noteworthy partnerships.
As we approach completion of each stage, we will notify the community and provide a variety of relevant resources. Starting with Mercury, developers will be able to access the network and begin building. It is our expectation that all stages will be completed by Q1 2023.
Beyond Protocol opens up a new world of possibilities, allowing developers to secure and monetize IoT devices on a decentralized network. Over the next five years, the number of IoT devices in the world will grow to 130 billion. Together with our developer community, we will create new Web3 IoT applications powered by the native Beyond Protocol token — these applications will change how we work and play in ways we can’t yet imagine.
